District Security Branch

Following are some essential responsibilities of District Security Branch,

To provide monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly statements/reports on important informations like, EC act, Cotton act, Explosive act etc.
To check the 37 Sensitive (Vital Installments) areas of the City.
To Check Stores of Explosives and Magazines.
As per Indian secret act 1923 c 8(1) Plan the restricted area for the city from the appropriate authority and handover it to Government.
To practice and restructure the schemes like, Flood scheme, emergency scheme, Hirabag water works employees strike scheme, S. T. corporation employees strike scheme, M.S. E. D. C. Ltd. employees strike scheme etc.
To send fax or reports on natural calamities like, Flood, earthquake, Petrol and diesel, Bomb blast.
To plan security structure for VIP, VVIP’s and important persons.

Correspondence Branch

To maintain and establish the registers/service books of Police officers, Office staff, Class 4 Staff, Police hospital staff etc.
To provide licenses for Arms and hotels.
To maintain, renovation of buildings, police stations police quarters etc.
To provide Construction facilities, loan facilities, and important schemes under police welfare scheme.
To process bills like light bills, telephone bills, medicines, water bills of the police departments buildings like ( Police HQ, Police stations etc.) and send it to accounts department.
To collect Flag day funds, Blinds fund, Tickets of programmes as well as this departments take care of traffic signals instruments.

Accounts Department

This department involved in maintaining accounts.
To plan and design budget as per requirement and submits it to Director General of Police.

Establishment Department

This department involved in Police recruitment, Transfer, Promotion, Leave, VRS etc.
All types of services related to police staff.

Passport Department

This department involved in Police recruitment, Transfer, Promotion, Leave, VRS etc.
All types of services related to police staff.
