Police Communication and Information Technology Department
The Police Communication and Information Technology (PCIT) branch is a technical branch. This branch is divided into two sub-branches. In one section, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment is carried out. In the other section, duties related to traffic control are carried out. In all types of work in the police force, vehicles, police stations, outposts, road blockades, control rooms, officers' offices, as well as officers' camp offices are responsible for communicating with each other through wireless sets. This includes video conferencing, internet, data messaging using satellite communication from the control room and keeping an eye on it. Also, during VIP visits, the department installs metal detectors and maintains contact through all wireless and electronic devices, making it possible for the police to communicate with all the people simultaneously and maintain law and order.
